Course Description

Our two day, Mountain Training accredited Hill Skills course is designed to ensure you get as much time as possible outside, learning and practising new found skills and knowledge. The course is aimed at beginners or those with limited knowledge of walking independently in the hills of the UK. Maybe you are a regular walker but aren’t completely confident about planning, navigating and understanding other factors which affect us when we walk in the hills. The emphasis is very much on the practical side and the day will be structured to give you ample time to practise and consolidate your new found knowledge and skills. Navigation is included on both days. Our aim is to give you the confidence to venture out onto the hills independently whilst learning in a relaxed and fun way.

Registration onto the Hill and Mountain Skills scheme with Mountain Training is a pre requisite and is currently £10 for under 18's and £20 for adults which is included in our course fee.

Note: All our instructors are experienced, fully qualified for the course they are responsible for and are qualified first aiders. They will always strive to give you the best experience coupled with ensuring your safety and others.
