Guided Walk Description

The 83 mile route can be completed between five and ten days but seven days is normally sufficient to experience the impressive slate heritage of North Wales at a manageable pace whilst still having the time to appreciate and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Snowdonia.

Along the route we'll call into locations who will stamp our "Passport" and on completion of the route, you'll receive a commemorative medal and certificate!

We offer a fully guided walking service for this route. All our staff are bilingual Welsh speakers and are local to North Wales and have also been brought up in some of the villages that you will walk through. Our staff also have friends and family who still work in the quarrying industry of North Wales which means you’ll get a truly authentic experience whilst walking the Snowdonia Slate Trail or "Llwybr Llechi Eryri" in Welsh. We will show you the special, hidden gems of the Snowdonia Slate Trail including magical slate workings and quarries and ensure you have a fantastic adventure along the way!

Two evening lectures are also included to make sure you get that unique and authentic experience.

Free parking with CCTV is available for the duration of your walk.

Your seven nights accommodation is included from the night prior to the first day as well as baggage transfers so that means all you have to do is enjoy the walking and take lots of photos!

Note: All our staff are qualified, knowledgeable and will always strive to give you the best experience coupled with ensuring your safety and others.

Guided Walk Schedule

Over the seven days we will complete the route in stages. Flexibility is key to ensure we complete the route and we always prioritise the safety and well being of our clients so you will be kept informed of the day's activity and we will do our utmost to make you feel part of the team by maintaining good communication.

Our support team will be in the background taking care of the little things such as baggage transfers and checking your accommodation but they are also there to assist you whilst you complete the route.

If you fancy completing the trail over a series of weekends or in sections then we can arrange suitable dates and costs to help you. If you would like to complete the route on a self guided basis then we can ensure you have all the support and information to do this safely.

We can arrange bespoke, tailored packages to suit. Please contact us to discuss how we can assist you.

Full details will be sent upon receipt of your booking form and payment.

Guided Walk Reviews

I have been on guided hikes in the Snowdonia mountains before, this time it was different; Snowdonia is Stephen's childhood playground, he helps you see the mountains through a different, fascinating and beautiful lense.I was blessed to see the famed wild Carneddau ponies. If you want to do more than just visit and summit a peak, I can't recommend Stephen enough. He is clearly a professional, accomplished mountaineer and instructor but also part of this community, you get a window into all that is magical about North Wales, Snowdonia National Park and the community that lives there. I'll be back!!
