Crib Goch traverse
Some days are simply stunning on the mountains and today was one of them. The forecast was for low winds, clear skies and warm sunshine so a traverse of Crib Goch on Snowdon was the obvious choice. The route is for those who have a head for heights, have tried scrambling and steeper ground previously and are comfortable route finding in complex terrain. It is not a route for novices and for those who wish to try scrambling for the first time. It is also often mistaken for one of the structured paths up Snowdon, it is not! However, for those able to enjoy the exposure, it offers a fantastic route, good scrambling, walking intervals between sections of scrambling and a sustained route from the base of Bwlch y Moch to Carnedd Ugain, adjacent to the summit of Snowdon.
